November 20 - OVERNIGHT OATS + I HATE DARK CHOCOLATE

Yepp - I hate dark chocolate. I'll explain...

Breakfast

Simple green overnight oats - 1/2 cup Love Grown Foods Chia & Quinoa Oats + 1 cup water + 1 scoop Athletic Greens superfood powder + 2 tbsp crunchy PB + sliced banana 

Lunch 

Salad - 2/3 cup black beans (low-sodium) + 1 cup spinach + 1/2 avocado + cherry tomatoes + Nutty But Nice Chipotle Almond Dip + nutritional yeast 

Snack

Apple + dark chocolate squares 

SOOOO here's why dark chocolate just ain't my thang. Wait - let me clarify. I mean dark chocolate in its bar form, not cupcake or ice cream or all that goodness. For some reason, I feel nauseas a few hours after eating a couple squares. My mom and I drove up to SLO this afternoon, and the entire way up, I felt as though I was about to barf. Yeah, no more bars of dark chocolate for me. I'm guessing it's the high-sugar, high-fat content? I'll do my research to try and find more possible causes. 

Dinner 

"Brown-box dinner" - brown rice + pinto beans + roasted veg + hummus 

Thankfully, walking around Whole Foods and breathing in some fresh air definitely helped my nausea, so I was finally ready to devour this dinner.
