I've been posting WIAT's lately like there's no fricken tomorrow. Why? Well, it's that time of the quarter at school when my life feels a wee bit like this (thanks, Buzzfeed, for understanding).
Just a quick blurb on the Quarter System for those of you who are like "whaaaaat is she talking about..." -
Its different from the semester system in that it only lasts about eleven weeks, instead of eighteen (I think). That, my friends, means that professors introduce themselves the minute class starts, and they "take it easy" on you for somewhere between 5-10 minutes. Then, it all begins.
Basically, it's a semester's worth of work smushed into a little more than half its time. Buuuuuut, in all honesty, I must say that I actually really like it. I've only experienced the semester system throughout high school, but from what I know about the quarter system, the latter keeps me on top of my assignments (to an extent, and not without some stress) and refreshes me with new classes, new professors, new schedules every 3-ish months.
Plus, Cal Poly SLO rocks the socks off of even the most rockin'-sockin' person. :)
So, here's my eats for a day of procrastination, for which the quarter system allows none of. Go me.
Warm lemon water - I used to hate this, but lately I've been loving the idea of hydrating my body right away with something less harsh than ice cold water. Want know more about the benefits of lemon water? There ya' go :)
Breakfast (post-barre sculpt workout)
2 slices ezekiel bread + chocolate nut/seed butter + sliced strawberries
Green tea w/ lemon (only because I was too lazy to make coffee, which I really wanted)
Lemon water (because I'm kind of addicted...)
Snack (told you)
3 cutie tangerines (right before dinner)
Stir-fried cauliflower rice (make your own!) & zucchini + scrambled tofu w/ kale & chickpeas + 1/2 avocado + Trader Joe's Eggplant Hummus + mixed greens
1 tiny slice of the chickpea flour banana bread from Ambitious Kitchen (added blueberries)
Hot cocoa (recipe from The Chalkboard Mag, but without the extra spices)
And that's all! As always, I would LOVE to hear from you guys - what do you eat in a day? Have you tried any of these recipes? Let me know in the comments below! :)
